Our Accredited Operating Room

A Private, Accredited Surgical Experience—Designed Around You

Lickstein Plastic Surgery’s new on-site operating room in Palm Beach Gardens was thoughtfully designed to combine hospital-level safety with the privacy, comfort, and convenience of a boutique surgical environment. Accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF), our operating suite meets rigorous national standards for safety, sterility, staffing, and emergency preparedness.

By offering surgery in our own QUAD A-accredited facility, we are able to provide a more personalized experience while maintaining the highest level of clinical oversight. Most importantly, we will always treat you at the facility that is best for you, based on your procedure, health history, and individual needs.

AAAASF QUAD A Accreditation: What It Means for Patients

Our operating room is accredited at the QUAD A (Class A) level by AAAASF—the highest level of accreditation available for office-based surgical facilities.

This accreditation reflects strict standards related to:

  • Patient safety and emergency preparedness
  • Sterilization and infection prevention protocols
  • Anesthesia delivery and monitoring
  • Staff credentials, training, and ongoing education
  • Facility design, equipment, and operational policies

AAAASF accreditation is widely regarded as the gold standard for office-based plastic surgery facilities, providing patients with confidence that their care environment meets or exceeds national benchmarks.

The Advantages of an Office-Based Surgical Suite

Privacy & Discretion

Our on-site surgical facility offers a level of privacy that is difficult to replicate in a hospital or large ambulatory surgery center. Patients move through a dedicated, private flow from pre-operative preparation through recovery, minimizing exposure to other patients and public waiting areas.

This discreet setting allows us to focus entirely on your care and comfort in a calm, controlled environment.

Safety Without the Hospital Setting

Unlike hospitals that care for critically ill patients and trauma cases, our operating room is reserved exclusively for elective plastic surgery procedures. This allows for a cleaner, quieter, and more controlled environment—without the congestion, delays, or exposure common in hospital settings.

Every aspect of the facility is designed specifically for plastic surgery, from air filtration and sterilization systems to anesthesia monitoring and recovery protocols.

A Consistent, Specialized Surgical Team

Procedures performed in our operating room are supported by a highly trained, experienced surgical team that works together regularly. Consistency matters—when a team knows each other’s workflows, communication is streamlined and patient care is enhanced.

All anesthesia is administered by board-certified anesthesiologists, and our clinical staff maintains all required professional certifications. Following surgery, patients recover in our PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)—a dedicated recovery area where patients are closely monitored as they wake up from anesthesia. Our PACU team has years of experience supporting comfort, safety, and a smooth transition through the early recovery period.

Convenience & Scheduling Control

An on-site operating room allows for greater flexibility and predictability when scheduling surgery. Unlike hospital environments where cases may be delayed due to emergencies or staffing constraints, our team has direct control over surgical timing—helping reduce wait times and improve the overall experience.

Patients also benefit from having consultation, surgery, and post-operative care coordinated within one practice they already know and trust.

Advanced Technology & Purpose-Built Design

Our operating suite was designed with modern plastic surgery in mind, incorporating advanced technology and thoughtful design features to support both safety and comfort.

From workflow and layout to environmental controls and surgical infrastructure, the space was purpose-built to support plastic surgery procedures in a controlled, efficient setting. Design decisions prioritize sterility, visibility, and seamless coordination between the surgical and recovery areas, allowing the clinical team to focus fully on patient care.

Every detail—from the operating table to recovery room amenities—was selected to support a smooth, safe surgical experience.

This tour offers a transparent look at where your procedure may take place and what you can expect on surgery day.

Facility Fees & Transparency

When surgery is performed in our accredited operating room, a facility fee may apply. This fee is separate from surgical and anesthesia fees and reflects the resources required to safely support your procedure.

We believe in clear, upfront communication and will review all costs with you in advance as part of your surgical planning process.

A Thoughtful Approach to Where You’re Treated

Not every patient—or every procedure—belongs in the same setting. That’s why we take a case-by-case approach when determining the best surgical environment for each patient.

Whether your procedure is performed in our on-site operating room or another accredited facility, the decision is always guided by what will provide the highest level of safety, comfort, and clinical appropriateness for you.
